Wentz Medical Center
Wentz Medical Center (WMC) traces its history to Ggaba Community Church Clinic which ran from 2002 to 2005. It’s out of this two-roomed rented structure that a nurse and laboratory technician provided medical services to the children and the community of Ggaba.Through a collaborative effort between Africa Renewal Ministries, Samaritan’s Purse, Children’s Hunger Fund and a generous donation from Dr. Myron Wentz, the current facility was created and opened on August 1st, 2005. WMC is the flagship facility and home of Renewal Healthcare and a Campaign to to expand WMC to three times its current size is under way.

Collaborative Partners
Through a collaborative effort between Africa Renewal Ministries, Samaritan’s Purse, Children’s Hunger Fund and a generous gift from Dr. Myron Wentz, the current facility was created and opened on August 1st, 2005. The Grant Coordination unit is responsible for the accounting function, management and overall coordination of activities at the various satellite clinics and hospitals under the RHN canopy. Resource allocation, directing and monitoring of both primary health providers and the hospital lie with Renewal Healthcare.
Wentz Medical Center is the lead facility in the network with the other four clinics namely; Muleete Community Clinic, Bethany Community Clinic, Cornerstone Medical center and Suubi Medical Center.

Professionals
The facility is headed by a Medical Director with a capacity of over 40 Staff. It is licensed by the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council to provide medical care services to patients in Uganda. WMC is part of a healthcare system called the Renewal Healthcare Network.
Renewal Health care (RHN) is an emerging leading healthcare system touching lives and renewing communities around Africa through establishing medical facilities, medical mission programs, and a Grant Coordination Unit in Uganda.
Future Vision
The hospital intends to grow and become Comprehensive, big on OPD services, strong on diagnostics and surgical services by introducing state of the art diagnostic equipment in Laboratory and radiology with construction of a new facility block and a customized billing package which can accommodate also the urban poor to access quality medical services.

Main Activities of WMC
Chronic care clinics
In partnership with the MOH, IDI, UPMB,UCMB we provide Antiretroviral Therapy and care Mgt including labs and family support, counseling and Free HIV testing in Outreaches.
Surgeries
Our theatre provides General Surgery and Obstetric services with General Surgeons and an Obstetrician/ Gynecologists on staff. Anesthesia; both general and local is available.
Laboratory Services
Our Lab is exceptional in quality and integrity of services. This includes Haematology, Chemistry plus microbiology tests and a wide range of Tests.
Therapeutic Massage
We provide tailor made screening, general check -up, Health Education services for companies, schools and neighborhood communities.
24 Hour service General Practice
24-hour in-patient and Outpatient general practice by our team of Doctors, Nurses, Mid-wives, Pharmacist and Counselors.
Dental Services
We offer Dental services, with a fully loaded dental suite which provides general and cosmetic Dental Services.

The Ultrasound Scan serves a wide range of options that include abdominal scan, obstetric scan, small parts, and superficial scans.

Averaging over 10,000 free treatments annually, our
medical missions program continues to thrive, bringing care and empowering
local and international teams and individuals to give through medical care.
Medical camps attract medical and non-medical people serving together Medical
Missions also include linking highly specialized individuals to hospitals in
Uganda where their skills can be utilized.
