Our History
Renewal Healthcare System was launched by Africa Renewal Ministries and Gaba Community Church in 2002 with the creation of Gaba Community Clinic which later found a home and expanded into Wentz Medical Center opening at its current location on August 1st 2005.
Since then, the Wentz Medical Center has championed Christian medical witness through medical care in Gaba, medical camps across Uganda, the Patient Assistance Program and the creation of community clinics in 5 underserved locations across Uganda.
Key Milestones
2005
Africa Renewal Ministries In partnership with Gaba Community Church, Dr. Myron Wentz, and Children’s Hunger Fund started Renewal Healthcare in 2005 by establishing Wentz Medical Center.
2008
RH established Bethany Community Clinic at Bethany Village
2011
RH in partnership with Mulete Community Church established Mulete Community Health Center in Mulete, Mubende District.
2015
RH in partnership
with Canby Christian Church, Oregon, USA, and Kacungwa Community Church established Suubi Mu Yesu Hospital in Kanyogoga, Mubende District.
2016
RH in partnership with Cornerstone Church, Auburn, Alabama established Cornerstone Medical Center at the Campus of Africa Renewal University Buloba, Wakiso District.
2022
RH launched ExpandHope campaign for Wentz Medical Center. "We praise God for the generosity of His people. We set out to build a hospital , but God gave us a movement."
2023
RH launched expansion of the Cornerstone Medical Center, Bulooba. Ground breaking for phase 3 Cornerstone Clinic at Africa Renewal University happened on 21st June 2023.
